Decriminalization of psychedelic in Nevada

Adults 21 and older are allowed to have up to one ounce of cannabis or 1/8 ounce of concentrate in their possession. It is illegal to consume cannabis in public. Violations of these guidelines can result in criminal charges. Only approved dispensaries are allowed to sell cannabis.

Since 1991, the event called Burning Man has been held at Black Rock City in northwestern Nevada, a makeshift city set up in the Black Rock Desert about 100 miles north of Reno. Burning Man may be best known for recreational drug use, but many of the participants use psychedelics there to do deep introspective and therapeutic work, not just to gaze at the art or dance all night. Things that happen at the event are not allowed anywhere. Like other frontier or controversial organizations in America, it has become a part of the national discourse.

People change their names, careers, and even their entire lives after Burning Man because the experience broadens their horizons to the point that their lives in the outside world seem insignificant in contrast. Psychedelics are still illegal there but are extremely easy to find.
